Our Staff

Our Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers are certified through a technical college or degreed by a four year college. Additionally, all staff working with children under the age of two years receive certification and training in working with Infants and Toddlers. Upon hire each teacher receives training on Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS, recognizing child abuse and neglect, Wisconsin licensing standards, and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, as well as behavior management and positive discipline. Within their first six months of employment all staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. Teachers and Assistant Teachers are required by the State of Wisconsin to complete continuing education hours every year on various topics related to early childhood, preschool and child growth and development.

We recognize that our staff are an essential piece of your child’s experience at K.C.C., and to you as our families. In order for you to know us better, we have posted employee biographies for families to view at their leisure. These will provide you with the personal, professional, and educational backgrounds of our staff.

At KCC, we value our staff and as such work with each one to continue their personal and professional growth. As a center, we enable their professional growth by providing resources such as a resource library, access to additional resources outside the center, paid trainings, and paid time to plan and prepare. We recognize that in order for our staff to care for others, their needs must also be addressed. To this end, we provide an employee lounge for breaks, a health insurance plan, paid sick time, vacation time, and holidays. To encourage longevity in our staff, benefits increase with the length of employment.
